I was trained to be a product designer, with strong business strategy and marketing capabilities, in two exciting cities: NYC and London. I have been working in the digital technology industry for 11 years.

My foundation in business and marketing equips me with the knowledge to craft compelling user experiences informed by data analytics, aligning seamlessly with business objectives. Collaborating effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders, I excel in transforming insights into innovative designs that not only look cool but also drive results.

Soft Skills

Throughout my professional experiences in start-ups, agencies, and enterprises, having strong soft skills has been crucial. Among these, I believe communication, collaboration, and critical thinking are the core soft skills I have been honing. Effective communication ensures clarity and alignment within teams and with stakeholders. Collaboration fosters a productive and inclusive environment, enabling the best ideas to emerge. Critical thinking allows me to analyze complex problems and develop strategic solutions. These skills collectively enhance my ability to drive projects to successful outcomes.

Project Management

To successfully launch the experience, efficient project management is crucial. Using tactics such as roadmapping, brainstorming, and prioritizing, I strategically oversee the design workfront to meet deadlines efficiently and effectively. This ensures that the project is optimized and delivered on time.

Business Strategy

Aligning business goals, user goals, and product goals is the first step in my UX strategy. I work closely with key stakeholders through exercises like the Business Model Canvas and Lean Canvas to ensure alignment. This collaborative effort involves the entire team. I also establish success metrics, define KPIs, outline the feedback process, and focus on the most impactful features for the business.

AB Testing

During the validation phase, we use real data gathered from various efforts, including user interviews, user testing, and A/B testing, to iterate towards the winning experience.

User Research

Creating a mind map involves leveraging insights from various research efforts, including competitive analysis, current design audits, and research from the Baymard Institute to adopt best practices. As a certified Baymard Research Professional, I synthesize data such as user personas, journey maps, and insights to achieve a comprehensive understanding of the user experience within the broader market landscape.

Design Strategy

The design stage begins by ideating 1-3 concepts based on the mind map, and I prefer using a FigJam board to see all the data in one place. When designing the experience, four main elements are always included: business strategy (goal), mind map (synthesized data), technical feasibility (components capability), and content strategy (to whom, how, and where we're sharing our story). By integrating all these elements, we aim to solve for the best solution for our customers.

Interaction Design

Once the concept is aligned, I build a local design system on top of our centralized design system to streamline the process and enhance scalability throughout the design operation strategy. This includes creating a folder structure in Figma for efficient handoffs and communication with teams. I also generate various prototypes, optimizing interactions to meet the required tasks. This phase encompasses user testing, A/B testing, design stakeholder reviews, conversations with developers, and leadership share-outs. Throughout, we prioritize accessibility to ensure an inclusive user experience.

Data Analytics

Data analytics is deeply related to business strategy, user research, and A/B testing, helping to define key metrics to ensure the achievement of successful KPIs. It serves as my best validation tool, allowing me to communicate the recommended UX solutions to stakeholders effectively. By using data analytics, I can gain their buy-in and build solid confidence in moving forward with the winning solution. This approach ensures that our decisions are data-driven, aligning with business objectives and user needs.

Content Strategy

Content strategy has been my core tool for structuring designs to tell a brand's story. I believe content must be included at the beginning of the design cycle because, at the end of the day, it is the content through which customers know us as a brand. It acts as a guideline for forming and structuring user interfaces. Leveraging my previous experience as a content director, I understand the importance of content strategy from my very early career. By integrating content strategy early on, I ensure that the design and narrative are cohesive, engaging, and effectively communicate the brand's message.

Development Literacy

Having a foundational understanding of development is beneficial for a seamless design process. I possess basic literacy in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, which allows me to effectively collaborate with developers. This knowledge ensures that my designs are not only visually appealing but also technically feasible. By understanding the core aspects of web development, I can anticipate potential challenges and contribute to creating a more cohesive and efficient workflow.
